New / Reimaged Configuration Guide

  • Install Windows 10 Enterprise IF Windows 10 Pro is NOT installed

Active Directory

  • Rename System using the following naming format

[Departmental Prefix]-[Serial Number]

  • Bind system to AD (ad.wsu.edu)

(Please note this requires a T1 account. Send an email if you do not have access to a T1 account to have the system added to AD before attempting to bind it.)

Software

Ensure the following applications are installed.

Software Location: \\cloud.cahnrs.wsu.edu\cahnrs.it\Software&Licenses

  • Office 2016

  • Adobe Acrobat XI

  • Firefox

  • Chrome

  • Microsoft Forefront

  • Cisco VPN AnyConnect Client

License Required

  • QWS3270 Secure

Malwarebytes

All users of Malwarebytes will need to have a license or be part of the following groups to have Malwarebytes installed on their system.

  • On Hulbert 4th Floor

  • BSYC

  • Human Development

Misc. Configurations

  • Install appropriate printers

Printer Server: \cru15

  • Set user's NetID as Admin

  • Map appropriate Network Drives

  • Set Password for the account "CIT"

  • Set Password for the account "Administrator"

Configuration with User

  • Setup and verify functionality of Outlook

  • Install other software at user's request
